Mr. Basharat A. Mirza
Acting MD/CEO

Mr. Basharat Mirza has been appointed as Acting MD/CEO as of August 1, 2011. Previously he has been the General Manager (Supply Chain Management) from November 2010. He has also served as General Manager (Projects) for two years and Company Secretary for about ten years. Before joining the Company, Mr. Mirza worked at Attock Industrial Products Ltd. as Company Secretary and Head of Finance from 1992 to 1998. He received an MBA from Boston University and is a member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan and the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan.

Mr. Masood Nabi
Executive Director (Joint Ventures & SCM)

Mr. Masood Nabi joined OGDCL in June 2009. Mr. Nabi was previously a senior investment banker with significant experience both internationally and in Pakistan. Mr. Nabi has expertise in the areas of strategic alliances / joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. Over the years Mr. Nabi has served as strategic advisor to many major international companies in the industrial and energy sectors. Mr. Nabi holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Muhammad Rafi
Acting Executive Director(Finance)/CFO

Mr. Muhammad Rafi has been appointed as Acting Executive Director (Finance)/CFO as of April 2011. Previously he has been working as General Manager (Finance) since July 2005. He joined the Company in 1988 and has served on various positions in Finance/Account and Corporate Planning. Mr. Rafi is a qualified management accountant and is a fellow of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan, the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan and the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan. He was member of Public Sector Committee of International Federation of Accountants during 2000-02. He is also on the Board of South Asian Federation of Accoutnats (SAFA) and he is currently chairing SAFA committee on Governmental and Public Sector Entities Accounting.

Mr. Muhammed Riaz Khan
Acting Executive Director (Production)

Mr. Riaz Khan is an A/Executive Director (Production) in Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDCL). He graduated from UET, Lahore in Petroleum and Gas Engineering. He has over 30 years diversified and rich experience in leadership/managerial skills, petroleum engineering, production, well testing, completions, stimulation/ fracturing/workovers, EOR/IOR projects, process & plant operations, surface facilities and has supervised execution of several critical oil & gas field development projects. He has attended extensive advance courses on Management, Production, Project Development and Petroleum Economics from, USA, Canada and Oxford UK. He is Director on the Board of Mari Gas Company Ltd and has also served as Director on PGCL Board. He has authored/co-authored and presented several technical papers. He is an active member of PEC, PIP and SPE (USA).

Mr. M. Zafarullah Chaudhry
General Manager/Incharge (HSEQ)

Mr. M. Zafarullah Chaudhry has been the General Manager/ Incharge (HSEQ) from June 2010. Previously he has served as General Manager-Administration, Strategic Business Planning , Petro-Research & Training Institute and Projects.  He joined the Company in 1987 in positions within production and exploration safety.  Mr. Chaudhry received a B.S. in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from University of Kansas and a MBA from Oklahoma City University.

Mr.Shamim Iftikhar Zaidi
General Manager (Drilling Operations)

Mr.Shamim Iftikhar Zaidi has been the GM (Drilling Operations & Services) since February 2008. He joined the Company in June 1984 in positions within Drilling Operations, Rig and Drilling Tools repair & maintenance. Mr.Zaidi is Graduate Mechanical Engineer from NWFP University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar.

Mr. Zahid Imran Farani
General Manager (Exploration)

Mr. Zahid Imran Farani has been the General Manager (Prospect Generation) since July 2008. Mr. Farani holds an M.Sc Degree in Geophysics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He joined OGDCL in April 1978 as Assistant Geophysicist.

Mr Aijaz Muhammad Khan
General Manager/ Incharge (Human Resource/Administration)

Mr. Aijaz Muhammad Khan has been the General Manager (OGTI) from Oct 2010. Previously he has been serving as General Manager (HR) & General Manager (Commercial/ Compensation & Benefit /Industrial Relation) since July 2008. He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration, from University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Mr. Aijaz joined the Company in 1978.

Mr Amjad Javed
General Manager (Human Resource)

Mr. Amjad Javed has been appointed as General Manager (legal Services) w.e.f. Oct 2010. Previously he has been serving as General Manager (HR) & General Manager (CB/IR). He has a M.Sc. degree in International Relations from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Mr. Amjad joined the Company in 1976.

Mr Salman Amin
General Manager (Commercial)

Mr. Salman Amin joined OGDCL in September 2009 GM (Internal Audit). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA-UK). He has diversified working experience in Government as well as Corporate sector. Prior to joining OGDCL he was working as Director Finance & Company Secretary in the Telecom Sector. Earlier in his carrier he has served for couple of years as ‘Advisor on Finance’ at Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and also as Financial Economist at Policy Wing, Ministry of Finance. He has extensively worked for bilateral donors like Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Department for International Development (DFID-UK) with prime focus on monitoring of the funding received in Pakistan. He was also part of World Bank and Asian Development Bank reforms in Pakistan for improvement in financial reporting. Mr. Salman completed his CA Articles from M/S KPMG Taseer Hadi Khalid & Co.

Mrs Eram Ali Aziz
General Manager/Company Secretary

Mrs. Eram Ali Aziz has taken charge as Company Secretary OGDCL since January, 2009. Prior to her current position, she has performed in various managerial positions in the Company. Mrs. Eram holds an MBA (Major in Finance) degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi. Mrs. Eram joined OGDCL in August 1977.

Mr Tahir Shaukat
General Manager (C&ESS)

Mr. Tahir Shaukat has been appointed as General Manager (Construction & Engineering Support Services) since July 2010. He holds a B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan. Mr. Shaukat joined the OGDCL in 1979.

Mr. Khalid Subhani
General Manager (Process & Plants)

Mr. Subhani took charge as GM (Commercial) in July 2010 after promotion from previous position of Manager (Plant & Process). He joined OGDCL as Assistant Engineer (Chemical) in January 1977. During his long association with the company, he served on various senior positions. Mr. Subhani earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Punjab University in 1975.

Mr. Mansoor Humayon
General Manager(Reservoir Management)

Mr. Humayon is General Manager (Reservoir Management Department) since December 2009. He holds an M.Sc (Petroleum Geology) degree from Punjab University Lahore, Pakistan and M.S (Structural Geology) from Oregon State University, U.S.A. He has received international training / courses on reservoir description, reserves evaluation, carbonate and clastic reservoirs through CIDA, SPE and AAPG. Mr. Humayon has published 6 technical papers in international and national technical journals. Mr. Humayon has been working in the Company since November 1977 and has served for 14 years in Exploration and for 20 years in Reservoir Management /Exploitation departments. He is also member of SPE and PAPG.

Mrs. Shabina Anjum Elahi
General Manager (Strategic Business Planning)

Ms. Shabina Anjum was appointed General Manager, Strategic Business Planning in July 2011. She joined the Company in 1983 with an MBA (Marketing) Degree from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, as Corporate Planning Officer.
