Mr Shah Mahboob Alam
MD/CEO

Mr.Shah Mahboob Alam, is an officer of BPS-21, Government of Pakistan and joined OGDCL as Executive Director (Security) in December 2008.   He last served as Director General, Office of the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister.  He has rich Intelligence, Security and Administrative experience. Mr.Shah has served in senior security positions in Sindh and Balochistan. He has also served on deputation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 8 years. He has attended several Advance Intelligence, Security and Administrative courses in Pakistan and UK. Has done very well in NIPA and Senior Administration & Management Courses from Staff College Lahore. He is M.A. (Political Science) with Public Administration from Karachi University.

Mr. Masood Nabi
Executive Director (Joint Ventures)

Mr. Masood Nabi joined OGDCL in June 2009. Mr. Nabi was previously a senior investment banker with the European investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort. Mr. Nabi has significant experience in the areas of strategic alliances/ joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. Over the years Mr. Nabi has served as strategic advisor to many major international companies in the industrial and energy sectors. Mr. Nabi holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Asif Saeed Sindhu
Executive Director (Finance)/ Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Asif Sindhu has been the Executive Director (Finance)/CFO since September 2009.  Prior to joining OGDCL he was working as Finance Director (CFO) for Shell Pakistan Limited. Mr. Sindhu is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, with around 20 years of diversified financial experience. He was associated with A. F. Ferguson & Co. Chartered Accountants (Price Waterhouse Coopers) Karachi, from 1986 to 1991 as an Audit supervisor. He then joined ANZ Grindlays bank in 1992 where he held various senior positions in Pakistan, Dubai and Melbourne, Australia. From 1997 to 2001 he held the position of CFO with ANZ Grindlays Bank (Now Standard Chartered).  Mr. Sindhu joined Shell Pakistan limited (SPL) in 2001 as planning manager and later he was appointed as Chief Financial Officer for the $480 million Shell/PARCO/Chevron/PSO joint venture, Pak Arab Pipeline Company Limited. Later served as Finance Director & Country Controller for Shell from 2005 to 2009. Mr. Sindhu has been a director on the boards of Shell Pakistan Limited, Pak-Arab Pipeline Company Limited and Pakistan Refinery Limited. He has also been Chairman of the Board Audit Committee of Pakistan Refinery Limited.

Mr. Khalid Jamil Khan
General Manager (Supply Chain & Material Management)

Mr. Khalid Jamil Khan has been the General Manager (Supply Chain & Material Management) since June 2007. Prior to this position he served as General Manager (Accounts) from September 2004 to June 2007. He joined the Company in 1977 and has served in various roles as accountant to the Company. Mr. Khan formerly served as the Acting Executive Director for Finance from January 2005 until August 2006. Mr. Khan is a fellow of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan.

Mr. Muhammad Rafi
General Manager (Finance)

Mr. Muhammad Rafi has been the General Manager (Finance) since July 2005. He joined the Company in 1988 and has served in positions in accounting, finance and corporate planning.  Mr. Rafi is a chartered management accountant and is a fellow of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan, the Institute of Corporate Securities of Pakistan and the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan.

Mr. M. Zafarullah Chaudhry
General Manager/Incharge (HSEQ)

Mr. M. Zafarullah Chaudhry has been the General Manager/ Incharge (HSEQ) from June 2010. Previously he has been served as General Manager-Administration, Strategic Business Planning , Petro-Research & Training Institute and Projects.  He joined the Company in 1987 in positions within production and exploration safety.  Mr. Chaudhry received a B.S. in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from University of Kansas and a MBA from Oklahoma City University.

Mr. Basharat A. Mirza
General Manager (Projects)

Mr. Basharat Mirza has been the General Manager (Projects) from December 2008. Previously he has been serving as Company Secretary since September 1998. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Mirza worked at Attock Industrial Products Ltd. as Company Secretary and Head of Finance from 1992 to 1998.  He received an MBA from Boston University and is a member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan and the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan

Mr. Tariq Majeed Jaswal
General Manger/ Incharge (Exploration)

Mr. Tariq Jaswal has been the General Manager (Exploration) since September 2005. He joined the Company in 1977 as a geologist. Mr. Jaswal received an M.S. in Petroleum Geology from University of Punjab. He also holds an M.S. in Structure Geology and Geophysics from Oregon State University.

Mr. Muhammed Riaz Khan
General Manager/ Incharge (Production)

Mr. Muhammad Riaz Khan has been the General Manager (Production) since Sep 2007 and previously had been serving as Acting General Manager (Plant & Process) from Jul 2003 to Sep 2007. He joined the Company in 1981 as petroleum engineer. Mr. Khan received a B.E. in Petroleum Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.

Mr.Shamim Iftikhar Zaidi
General Manager (Drilling Operations)

Mr.Shamim Iftikhar Zaidi has been the GM (Drilling Operations & Services) since February 2008. He joined the Company in June 1984 in positions within Drilling Operations, Rig and Drilling Tools repair & maintenance. Mr.Zaidi is Graduate Mechanical Engineer from NWFP University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar.

Mr. Zahid Imran Farani
General Manager (Prospect Generation)

Mr. Zahid Imran Farani has been the General Manager (Prospect Generation) since July 2008. Mr. Farani holds an M.Sc Degree in Geophysics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He joined OGDCL in April 1978 as Assistant Geophysicist.

Mr Muhammad Mureed Rahimoon
General Manager (Systems)

Mr Muhammad Mureed Rahimoon is a member of Central Superior Services of Pakistan (CSSP). He worked in different capacities in various Government Organizations, e.g. Immigration and Passport, M/O Interior and Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), M/O Commerce. He joined OGDCL as General Manager (HR) in August 2008. He is currently working as General Manager (Systems) since July 2010, He holds M.Sc degree from Karachi University, and MPA degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy Management from Colombia University, New York, USA.

Mr Aijaz Muhammad Khan
General Manager (Legal Services/HR)

Mr. Aijaz Muhammad Khan has been the General Manager (Legal Services/ HR) from July 2010. Previously he has been serving as General Manager (Commercial/ Compensation & Benefit /Industrial Relation) since July 2008. He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration, from University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Mr. Aijaz joined the Company in 1978.

Mr Amjad Javed
General Manager (CB/IR)

Mr. Amjad Javed has been appointed as Acting General Manager (Compensation & Benefit /Industrial Relation) w.e.f. January 2009. Previously he has been serving as Acting General Manager (HR). He has a M.Sc. degree in International Relations from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Mr. Amjad joined the Company in 1976.

Mr Sarfaraz Siddiqui
General Manager (OGTI)

Mr Sarfaraz Siddiqui joined OGDCL in July 2009. He has brought thirty five years of diversified E&P experience with him. Mr. Siddiqui has worked with reputed multinationals i.e. Occidental, Gulf Oil, BP & Marathon Petroleum at various senior positions related to technical and general management. Mr. Siddiqui received his Master’s degree in Geology from University of Karachi in 1973. He is former Chairman of Pakistan Association of Petroleum Geoscientists, an active member and official delegates of American Association of Petroleum Geologist.

Mr Qamar Zaman Samo
General Manager-Joint Ventures and Business Development.

Mr. Qamar Zaman Samo has been appointed as General Manager (Joint Ventures and Business Development) w.e.f January 2010. He has joined OGDCL in August 2009 as GM PE&FD (Production). Mr. Samo was previously a Regional Petroleum Engineer Middle East & North Africa with the Weatherford Oil Tools based in Dubai U.A.E. Prior to this he also worked for Baker Hughes Inc, Schlumberger Oilfield Services & LMK Resources (Landmark Graphics) in Middle East. Mr. Samo has significant experience in the areas of Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, modeling of Horizontal wells & Business Development. Mr. Samo has traveled extensively through out the world & has an excellent understanding of technical & commercial problems being faced by major NOCs & IOCs. Mr. Samo holds Bachelor of Engineering degree in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from MUET Jamshoro Pakistan & Masters Certificate in Project Management from University of Villanova U.S.A.

Mr Salman Amin
General Manager (Audit)

Mr. Salman Amin joined OGDCL in September 2009 GM (Internal Audit). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA-UK). He has diversified working experience in Government as well as Corporate sector. Prior to joining OGDCL he was working as Director Finance & Company Secretary in the Telecom Sector. Earlier in his carrier he has served for couple of years as ‘Advisor on Finance’ at Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and also as Financial Economist at Policy Wing, Ministry of Finance. He has extensively worked for bilateral donors like Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Department for International Development (DFID-UK) with prime focus on monitoring of the funding received in Pakistan. He was also part of World Bank and Asian Development Bank reforms in Pakistan for improvement in financial reporting. Mr. Salman completed his CA Articles from M/S KPMG Taseer Hadi Khalid & Co.

Mr Tahir Shaukat
General Manager (Administration/C&ESS)

Mr. Tahir Shaukat has been appointed as General Manager (Administration, Construction & Engineering Support Services) since July 2010. He holds a B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan. Mr. Shaukat joined the OGDCL in 1979.

Mrs Eram Ali Aziz
Company Secretary

Mrs. Eram Ali Aziz has taken charge as Company Secretary OGDCL since January, 2009. Prior to her current position, she has performed in various managerial positions in the Company. Mrs. Eram holds an MBA (Major in Finance) degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi. Mrs. Eram joined OGDCL in August 1977.
