Petro Research and Training Institute Laboratories formally known as Geological and Reservoir Laboratories (G&R Labs) were established in 1963 with the inception of OGDCL. PRTI Labs have five branches: Geochemistry, Sedimentology, Micropaleontology, Analytical Chemistry and Core Analysis. OGDCL Core House is also maintained by PRTI Labs.
For understanding petroleum systems, it is equipped with all necessary apparatus for routine analysis required by an E&P company. But up gradation and inclusions of certain modern gadgets and manpower are needed.
