| DISCOVERY OF OIL AND GAS AT SHAH WELL # 01 |

By the grace of Almighty Allah, the Joint Venture of Tando Allah Yar Block comprising Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) as Operator (95%) & Government Holdings (Pvt.) Limited (5% carried) has discovered Gas from its exploratory Well i.e. Shah Well # 01, which is located in District Hyderabad, Sindh Province.
The structure of Shah Well # 01 was delineated, drilled and tested using OGDCL’s in house expertise. The well is drilled down to the depth of 3227 M, targeting to test the hydrocarbon potential of Massive Sand formation, whereby sizeable
reserves of hydrocarbon have been found at Shah Well # 01. The Zone has tested 15.40 MMSCFD of gas and condensate 165 BPD through 32/64” choke.
This discovery will add to the Hydrocarbon reserve base of the OGDCL and the joint venture partner. The discovery of Shah Well # 01 will add Hydrocarbon reserves to the hydrocarbon reserves base of the country.

By the grace of Almighty Allah, the Joint Venture of Guddu Block comprising Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) as Operator (70%), IPR (25%) & Government Holdings (Pvt.) Limited (5% carried) has discovered Gas from an exploratory Well namely Maru Well # 01, which is located in District Ghotki, Sindh Province.
Maru Well # 01 was drilled down to the depth of 794 M, targeting to test the hydrocarbon potential of Pirkoh Limestone formation, whereby sizeable reserves of gas have been found at Maru Well # 01. The Zone has tested 3.5 MMSCFD of gas through 40/64” choke.
The discovery of Maru Well No. 01, has opened up a new horizon at shallow depth which would likely be developed on seamless track basis & be placed on early commercial production, resulting in fast revenue generation for the joint venture and would add gas reserves to the hydrocarbon base of the country

It’s is another feather in Corporate’ Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Control Function of the company that in its first Certificate Audit of Dhodak and Qadirpur Plants/Fields against ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards conducted from 13 to 17 July 2009, Business Assurance Wing of M/S DNV has pronounced that the HSE System at these two key locations is at par with the requirements of HSE management standards. The formal acknowledgment has come from their Middle East Region by formally endorsing and issuing the UKAS accredited ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Certificates for these locations which shall remain valid for three years. It is recognition indeed as DNV (Det Norske Veritas) is an independent foundation with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment and whose history goes back to 1864, when the foundation was established in Norway. OGDCL management has greeted on the rare feat and admired the untiring consolidated team efforts of +three years which have finally enabled OGDCL to achieve this commendable milestone. Details

OGDCL has won the Sixth National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) Environment Excellence Award 2009 on account of its excellent environmental initiatives and successful implementation of environmental management systems at major sites. The National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) organized the Sixth Annual Environment Excellence Awards 2009 in Karachi.
The event was held in collaboration with United Nations Environment Programme. Federal Minister for Environment Mr. Hameedullah Jan Afridi was the chief guest on the occasion, and Sindh Minister for Environment and Alternative Energy Mr. Askari Taqvi was the guest of honour.
The 6th Annual Environment Excellence Awards was awarded to 49 best environment friendly companies of Pakistan. The award was instituted to recognize and promote the organizations, which make an outstanding contribution to sustainable development. It aims to highlight policies, practices, processes and products from all sectors of business in the country, which help achieve economic and social development without harming the environment and natural resources.

| By the grace of Almighty Allah, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has discovered gas from its Exploratory Well i.e. Pasakhi West Deep Well # 1, located in District Hyderabad of Sindh Province.
The well was drilled down to the target depth of 3,500 Meters, targeting to test the potentials of Sands of Lower Goru Formation of Cretaceous Age. Based on log data, 02 zones were selected for testing. Production testing of Zone-1 (Massive-Sands) of Lower Goru Sand member started on May 04, 2009, which did not produce at surface. Production testing of Zone-2 (Massive-Sands) of Lower Goru Sand member started on May 11, 2009, which proved productive. The short duration initial testing results of Zone # 02 are tabulated as under:

| By the grace of Almighty Allah, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has discovered gas / condensate in its Exploratory Well Kunnar South 01, located in district Tando Allah Yar, Sindh province.
2. Kunnar South Well No. 01 structure was delineated in Tando Allah Yar E.L. license area, which is a joint venture between OGDCL (Operator) and GHPL having 95% and 5% working interests, respectively. The well was drilled and tested using OGDCL in-house expertise to the target depth of 3355 meters. Based on drilled and log data, 03 zones were selected for testing. Production testing of Zone-1 (Massive-Sands) of Lower Goru Sand started on July 21, 2008, which proved productive. The short duration initial testing results of Zone-01 are tabulated as under:
